PS4 is first and foremost a games console, appealing to gamers.

Xbox one is a TV entertainment box first, games console second. It is appealing to TV addicts & the most casual games market possible, people that just play COD and FIFA every year. There exclusive deals for both games confirms as much. You have to pay a fee to play pre-owned games and most likely a yearly subscription to play online

If you consider yourself a gamer, the PS4 is quite simply a no-brainer at this point in time
