Its interesting, my dad said something very similar a couple weeks ago. He's very much of the old school way of doing things. He was in the navy for many years and he got made redundant once, back in a new job the next day! Would never happen nowadays! You'd be 2 weeks just filling out all the forms and getting the background checks before even got an interview
