Use a ATI Driver removal Tool and completely WIPE all of the ATI drivers from your system, then reinstall the Latest drivers
If your still having trouble, Wipe the ATI drivers again but install the 2nd latest one, so not the latest but the drivers before it.
Also if you have an Nvidia stuff left on your PC, it may cause a conflict
Just give it a shot, sorry I couldn't be more helpful

LOl a q6600 is your first venture into pc gaming??? Thats crazy, Big baller!
ok first things first... NORTON SUCKS STOP USING IT. Ok Norton somehow ( I dont know how) has corrupted your vista install. If you load into safe mode and still cant load aything you will need to use a system restore disk to load up a previous restore point. If your like most people and never created a system restore disk then you will most likely need to reformat. Of course that means you will loose all your stored data.
Before you do a reformat call norton and see if there is a fix, chances are if this happened to you it has happend to others.
Very few notebook computers have the option to upgrade the graphics. And for those that do, upgrade options are considered rather limited. Notebook computers are very useful in their own right; I use one on a daily basis for work. But IMO "gaming laptop" is still an oxymoron.deadfirezero
New rule, NO GAMING LAPTOP THREADS ANYMORE. Its like Big Foot, people claim to have seen one but they DO NOT EXIST
