I wouldn't say that much remember the PS2's portfolio was more then just FPS's. 360 still has a long way to go. A few A+ RPG's is a good start but remember PS2 was a world wide success. 360 not so much.
I was wondering if anybody else has felt like this E3 has been rather wack compared to all the hype that was around it. Microsoft just ripped off Apple with the cover flow interface, Sony's Home, and Nintendo's Mii's. Then Nintendo's press conference sucked. Sony basically copied and pasted the video market place from Microsoft, Home was M.I.A., and there were no really big exclusive games announced besides God of War which was in CGI form. The only really big story is FFXIII which was another CGI trailer and has no set date. The Netflix deal not really that big to me because they never said that the movies would be in HD. if someone had a Netflix account why wouldn't they just rent the blu-ray version or better yet just download the HD version from MS. Don't get me wrong I have seen some pretty sweat stuff but none of it is as big as the coverage would lead you to believe. Most of it is just the same old games we already knew about before the conferences like LBP, Gears, Spore, Killzone, Resistance, Fallout, Resident Evil, Fable you know the usuals.
I work @ one and wouldn't recommend one unless you were getting a 20gb or 60gb. All of the ones that have been returned defective @ my store have been refurbs except for like two consoles. i would only do it if you could get one with full backwards compatibility and would recommend that you get the extended warranty too if you go the used route. Your best bet is wait for MGS4 bundle (80 gig) to come out next month.

I have the exact same problems.. I got the h500 and it does exactly what yours does. It works in the ps3 then when i get into a game iget the sound in my speakers. It also makes my ps3 freeze. Sometimes it takes like 3 times of me rebooting it just to get it to work. Its actually the worst thing ever.
