40" 1080P Samsung LCD

Every time I hear something about the YLOD it's always a launch 60GB model. Makes me more glad every day I waited to get a 40GB, has zero problems.

I get my games from Amazon almost all of the time. No tax, free fast shipping with prime and usually slightly cheaper than retail. It's also a pretty good place to get used games from too.

I get the few I have from Amazon, they usually have much better prices than stores in my experience.

I've heard from several people that the PS3 version of Fallout 3 is prone to freezing. I've only played the 360 version so I don't know firsthand though.

Nah, I used to but I don't care anymore at all. It will suck the fun out of the game if you obsess over getting every trophy/achievement. Unless they're all for things I would want to do regardless I don't even bother. They're ultimately meaningless anyways.

If you don't use the HD for anything other than games 40GB is probably enough. But like others said you're better off going for the 120GB slim for reliability and less power usage alone. If you feel bad about your girl spending that much then you can offer to split the cost.
