Been playing this game now for some hours now, and I'm pretty impressed. I like(d) Minecraft, but the funny graphics and soundtrack make Don't Starve a real winner in my opinion. I died a few times, either by epic monster mayhem or just this one time starving to death. Right now I'm playing the tough guy, who's melee combat does more damage, and am currently on day 21. Scavenging food and resources, but it feels like I'm purely surviving and not evolving.. it makes the game a little stressful, because finding food in the beginning is easy, but as it starts getting bad, and you're surviving more days; it becomes pretty scarce. For an indie game, this sure is a cool title for the money - and the challenge!

Just WHAT 2?
by PsiZombie on Comments
Been playing Just Cause 2 for PC a little while now.. certainly a mix of GTA and Mercenaries, but the review and gameplay videos gave me a whole different feeling than actually playing the game. If you don't play the faction missions, and you're just exploring the landscape; this game is dull and boring like f*ck (unless you find a fighter helicopter to screw things up really quick). I just ordered a Xbox 360 controller dongle for my PC - maybe it'll make controlling this bugger a little smoother... the keyboard key-bindings for this game suck extremely much. Meh, more Bioshock Infinite until that time comes (hopefully tomorrow) :p
Infinity, and beyond!

So I've spent my entire easter on Bioshock: Infinite on my nuclear powered PC - can't say much more than that it has been the most gripping FPS I've played so far. Even though I'm one of those look-in-every-damn-corner-to-find-loot/secrets kind of player, this game has been extremely rewarding. Even though I've gone through it already, I'm still playing it - finding out new stuff each time. To break the cycle I'm also getting a hold of all collectables in the new Tomb Raider - also an awesome title if you ask me - plus I'm playing the old Bioshock game again (finished it already on Xbox360)... this game is pretty damn scary actually! Don't know if it's because I always play with headphones - but I'm sure careful with every step I take :D

Online Mine-bagging

So I saw there came a new Minecraft update, plus I saw a real-life Minecraft picture on 9gag.com... I instantly thought; why not make a Minecraft version with modern graphics and physics engine? Why not? I mean, online gaming technology keeps on developing, so why not consider a hi-def Minecraft version? I come from the era where Doom 1 was fantastic in ways of graphics, and today I'm playing FarCry3 online... back in those days I thought; how the hell would online play be possible on games that run extreme high graphics!? Why shouldn't it be possible?
Of course, in Minecraft you can manipulate the world in every way possible, like chopping down trees, digging holes, building houses, building sand-castles, digging down to the heart of hell... but wouldn't the idea of a hi-def Minecraft not be totally awesome? Ok, it's an online game, and there are many factors involved regarding the physics, but wouldn't it be cool to break that signature-graphical-look to something that a LOT more people would see interest in? I think the market for Minecraft would boom if this would every become a reality.
Just a thought :) peace out!

It's not because I'm broke - but why is my PSVita collecting so much dust?
My 4-year-old son doesn't even want to play on it any more, after unlocking every car and track on the PSP title Cars 1 and Cars something-else. I had the same issue with my 3DS, which I quickly traded in for credit at (hold your breath) GameStop for buying the PSVita... long ago now I finished Uncharted with 500+ headshots.. meh!
Back in the days (born 1981) I was happy playing Super Mario on the first GameBoy, and was always hyped about it!... are we from gaming-birth so demanding, already??
Where are the games!? I might be 31, but it feels like gaming industry is like watching X-Factor, or Douchebag's-Got-Talent... One title for the PSDiva I'm looking forward to is Killzone and Assassins Creed III-something.
Whatever concerns me; the rest is a waste of time and money. One good game-a-year is just not good enough!
Release a system that has a mayor backbone of awesome games, and then stop the darn discussion of a console being worth your buck or not! Do it right from the start, rather than releasing a machine without games...
I need more beer....
Wait, what?

Oh, ehh.. it's friday again? damn, which Bat-cave did I sleep in last week?
Well well, work work work.. no gaming lust. Don't know why, but it feels like the more broke I am, the less I think of playing a game to forget about my sorrows. Anyway, It's friday again! Beer is on the table, Gamer PC is begging me for input...... but what the heck am I gonna play!? I tried to continue on Deus Ex, but sneaking stealthy **** after 7 legit.. 5% alc. strong beers, don't make the excitement last very long. Not that I got caught! I just thought it got boring. Then I tried to release some frustrations on MW3, which got boring after 5 minutes. So, now I'm here.. no offence.
More importantly is my day tomorrow! I stopped smoking last week, and really feel I need to keep it up *lights a cigarette*.. so maybe I will continue on Assassins Creed III on my X360 (why the HELL are my achievements not in sync with this site... do I have too many!?). As people say; the game is loooong and tormenting in the beginning, but continueing will pay off. So maybe I'll give it a shot, with a hung-over head which I can already feel -_-
I don't want to start on Hotline Miami again now, because it will piss me off so much I will light a whole pack of cigarettes in my mouth in one go. I'd rather listen to some Tech-House on di.fm by DJ Trevor Nygaard.
Have a nice weekend, wherever in the world you are.
Peace out.
Friday!

Hi again community!
So, friday.. lots of ideas, playing games, get drunk, sleeping late. But, no.
This weekend my adorable son Liam is staying over. He's 4 years old and beat my record in Subway Surf on my iPhone -_-
It hasn't been as busy at work, so I've been watching some Gamespot shows - they always give me a laugh. But now I have no idea what I should play when my son goes to sleep... maybe a little CoD:3 (again again), maybe more Hotline Miami? I have no clue. Maybe tomorrow I'll press on Assassins Creed III, but I'm a little doubtful about that one. AC3 in my point of view is like reading a boring book just to be able to fall asleep - even though people press me for getting on with the game, since it will get better.... *sigh*
Anyway, have a great weekend, everybody.
Hotline speaking?

Hello again, community!
Ok, so a little background on me - I have been an IT technician for at least 10 years, got booted from my last job because **** was just not going very good for them financially. So, I got let go with 3 months salary, hoping to find another job SOON!
Well, after 3 months and 2 weeks I finally got a job at a software support hotline for a company that develops software for doctors and dentists. It's okay, but I'm more of a hands-on guy rather than answering one phone call after another and help frustrated doctors with their PC / software problems. Anyway, it's better than sitting in some kind of telemarketing service and get yelled at for being an **** for my phone call.
Anyway, maybe in April I will get a full-time contract with more money in my pocket. Maybe not...!?
So, brain! who do I call? HOTLINE MIAMI!
Man, this game is unique. I've had it since release, played it a couple of hours and put it on the shelf for more Blockbuster'ish games like Dishonored and Assassins Creed 3. The only modern-world problem I have is that my screen is so **** big, running 1920x1080 - it feels like I need to sit half a mile away from my screen to justify the old-school graphics. Hotline Miami has really opened my eyes on the Indie game genre, and Im positively surprised, really.
Anyway, I already unlocked a series of masks... I'm glad that when you start a new game that you still have the ones you earned previously.
Being the 'look-in-every-damn-corner-in-hope-to-find-a-secret-object' type-of gamer, I found much good use with the SPOILER!!!!

Owl mask... because secret objects will appear while wearing it, even though the graphics and gameplay are quite simple. Oh, yes, you'd get very bored watching me playing Uncharted because of my obscene obsession of wall-hugging areas to find a little meaningless treasure.
Today I gave it another shot. Man, was I happy. They do recommend you not to be afraid to die, but it sure as hell is frustrating to constantly being nailed with one hit, in the same area of the level. Its like a fast-food killing and retrying concept that I usually hate in games (like platform games in general).
I had to take a little break, though, and finish Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for the 20th time, which awkwardly was just as annoying by constantly dying in the same area (Im getting out of shape)! I just love the CoD:MW series because of the awesome graphics, even though I only have part 2 and 3. I love a lot of **** all of a sudden, dont I?
Well, one thing that I dont love but dont despise is online multiplayer. I dont know if its because of my social awkwardness (I even find the PS3 title Journey a pain in the ass because you HAVE to play with somebody, even though they are anonymous) or if its because I keep my ****ty skills for myself. I mean, come on I grew up playing Counter Strike against bots and became pretty good in the end. Then World of Warcraft came, and I played until the Burning Crusade until I got annoyed to **** not being able to become something while playing solo, but having to depend on others to get better gear and stuff. There just are some things in the gaming world that Im not very keen on, even though I know very well that the gameplay factor is highly increased by challenging other players around the world. Problem is also my internet connection that sucks extremely much. Lets hope that that will change soon, because I might move to a new place in a couple of months.
Im just ranting now. Lets do something useful. Which game, which platform? Hmmm
Until next time ;)
