@emptycow @beez1717 So, let's make Super Mario more glossy. Let's make it more the same as it has always been and hope to frickin' God that people will pay for it.
Dude, the biggest Sony mistake I've ever made was the PS Vita... the only game worth buying (still) is Uncharted. There are consoles out there that have purely been made to make money, and not so much pleasure - but they have been made to be part of a race. Nintendo has always had a little factor of "let's keep it chibi and cute, so children will love it"... the Wii was revolutionary in its type of control - but where the F*** are the awesome games?? "naw, let's keep it jappy, cute, sprinkles.. sparkles, sparkles, avatars without legs, cute!"
In my point of view; this console hype is just a race for money, money money, and not so much about quality. The first time I saw the Wii U specs and titles.. I thought; "Urgh.... go away" because the Wii (in my point of view) was a big flop.
@M3o5nster @PsiZombie I read the article, but the fact of the matter just bugged me, hence maybe the wrong set of words. I'm an artist myself, and I sometimes get requests from people that wish for something that make me think "what the f... dude?", but I still do it because I have a passion for art, in the hope that somebody enjoys it. My own views are in no way point of discussion because that doesn't concern my clients.
@JonC666 @PsiZombie @Micropixel Awesome detail there, Jon, thanks a lot. I like games with a very long learning curve which actually give me some kind of damn sense of what the hell I'm aiming for.... well, like life in general, just in outer space :D
Aren't games supposed to be fictional pieces of art, which are meant to be enjoyed by consumers who show interest? If you work for a game studio that create games illustrating the killing of Nazis, terrorists, Templars, pedestrians etc. and you don't agree with it; look for another job, mate.
I'm just gonna re-myself... totally off-topic. Do religious people actually play violent video games? Is there a code for shit like that in the bible, like summoning a minigun in GTA with some twisted key-combos? Is that allowed accordingly? I just wonder...
