Deus Ex is my favourite game and I've been playing games since I was 8...please...please go buy Deus Ex! Try Direct2drive.com...it's around 10 dollars.
And no, it's not scary...however it has one of the best storylines. To me it was like a book I couldn't put down...

How can we stop piracy, video games and other wize. Criminal pentaly? Capital Offense? House arrest with loss of computer usage rights? Is there a system that won't be too uncomfertable to live with, yet will remain resiliant enough not to be broken? Could it stay ahead of the pirates, always updating and changing based on their tactics? Can we make a program so adaptive... perhaps it will even develop ways to strike back at the pirates!!

I wish I could help you out but seeing as I can't even PLAY the game (it crashes after I try to start a new game) I have nothing for you except basic video game common sense. If something isn't working...try something else...IE: Different gun, take a different route, try evading enemies for a time before you get better gear, look around your surroundings (could be some useful cover or something)...and so forth...

Counter Strike seems to be breeding ground for F***-offs. Normal people who would be perfectly pleasant face to face are rude, racist, and belligerent for no other reason then they can get away with it.

They spout racist nonsense but their hearts are not really into it. For the most part it's a huge joke to them. They get to gang up and pick on someone different from them...if anything it's an Elementary School mentality. A bit disappointing, really.

Bought STALKER today, installed it, set up my controls and video settings (everything was set to max by default). When I hit 'new game' it loads for about a minute then crashes to desktop and at the bottom right a little bubble pops up that says "DISPLAY DRIVER STOPPED RESPONDING AND HAS RECOVERED. Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

A couple friends told me this was because I'm running Vista. Buying a new game that simply doesn't work is extremely frustrating...any suggestions?
