Sonic? Going 2-D? Entire game?

Could this be true? With speed being the key word here? No way. That's impossible. They haven't been making good decisions lately. They couldn't have wisen up after all these years... Could they? Could thisbe the answer I've been waiting for? A reason to like Sonic again?
