Thanks guys. Hope it works for you dan. I've started using the highest resolution the xbox supports without my monitor saying "not optimum mode". I think it was like 1400 by 800 or something. It looks a little crisper but there are small black bars on the bottom and top of the screen. I don't really care though, I got used to the black bars when I played on the CRT.
So I used to have an old monitor that I played my xbox on (can't remember what they're called. Just an old, big, monitor) and it looked great. But now I have a samsung 22" widescreen and it looks like doo doo with my vga cable! I'm pretty sure I've tried all of the resolutions and they either don't fit right or are blurry. And every time I switch my monitor to the xbox my monitor says " not optimum mode. Recommended mode 1600x900 60hz." Is there any way to get a better picture or is my screen just too big for the provided resolutions?
External HDD support is the only thing I can really think of right now. I never understood web browsers for consoles, you might as well just use your computer unless you have a really old, POS computer or something.
The demo coming out doesn't change the fact that there IS NO SPIES VS MERCS! :( I still can't figure out why they would ever do such a thing. The online experience is what defined splintercell. I beat the campaign in about 3 days and then play Spies Vs Mercs for months. What were they thinking?!
