[QUOTE="Punderr"]I guess what I'm looking for is an FPS in an enviroment where average people go everyday, maybe a school, or a restaurant. Its being able to cause war in the same area we live in, that makes it interesting. Doom and gloom was intrigueing at first, but its wearing off. I think FPS needs to go back to basics and have it where people wouldn't usually run and gun.rogerjak
A mix is necessary. Resistance 2 does this pretty well.

Resistance 2 is amazing, its just that its type of enviroments are so common now.

Lol. I'm not asking for a cartoony, FPS. Oh gosh, that reminds me of the warhawk graphics. They totally just ticked me off, it always made me feel like I was playing a children's game. But maybe a brilliant shooting system, with 50% ratchet and clank weapons, 50% high tech weapons, and 50% fun, silly, guns (again, reminds me of Timesplitters 3. Ghost gun. lmao.) I know that is 150%. And a extremely detailed beautiful bright and colorful enviroments with, REALISTIC enemies with REALISTIC AI, would just be great. Its a long shot, but there has to be something out of the status quo sometime!Punderr

whoops forgot humor, don't forget humor.

[QUOTE="codalloo"][QUOTE="polishkid99"] i feal the same way  they need to make a sweet fps with bright colors and it has to be a very funny game. and when ever you shoot some on in the head, a Voice manly voice will say BOOM! HEAD SHOT!Punderr

OMG YES!!

That reminds me of Timesplitters 3 haha. That game was hillarious. I just thought of something. An FPS in Mirrors Edge Setting! It would be awesome, well the colorful bright levels in the malls, and in offices, and on rooftops. Not the dark train stations. It would be fun in my opinion, and i'snt that why we play video games? To have fun?

Wow i put an " ' " after the i in "isnt". wtf.

[QUOTE="polishkid99"][QUOTE="Punderr"]Don't get me wrong, I absolutley love first person shooters, they are my passion. But the enviroments in games like the COD series, Resistance 1-2, Haze, Bad Company, and Fallout 3 (Especially) are starting to make me depressed. I know it sounds silly, but it would be a beautiful breath of fresh air to have an online shooter take place in a mall, or in a neighborhood. Practically anywhere real, and not post WWII and in a doom and gloom setting. There's only a couple games that fall into that category. I love playing online with friends, but so much of this dark, destroyed and abandoned dirt-land makes me oh so sad. This is weird, does anyone else have this craving?codalloo

I sorta agree, colorful games make me feel happy:P but no matter what the environments look like, if the game is fun I'll play it, but I really like FarCry because of it's tropical world. Maybe there could be some more shooters that take place on beaches and tropical paradises. codalloo

omfg, exactly. I can see it now, a survival game, where a plane filled with people survive a crash on a tropical island and are forced to go into battle against island natives! Its beautiful!

I know lol, I just wish they could use that amazing system in a modern game, which still tend to be depressing. Maybe I'm turning into one of those emo teens.
