Just update your console man. If you are too lazy to do that, than I could not imagine what your personal hygiene must be like.:shock: J/K. but if you have internet access where you live just update. The updates are there for a reason anyway. BTW man, 2K basketball is sick online and so is Uncharted 3's coop and MP. If you only like to play with yourself (no pun intended) then I guess it should not matter at all. Skyrim is only SP and should not require the update.

I have a Ps3 Slim 3.5 firmware (I think) and my question is can I play new games like Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Nba 2k12 and other games that require higher firmware?

I haven't got any new games lately.. and I'm too lazy to update my ps3 because I don't really go online.

Some games have a menu option that tells you your statistics, usually with time spent playing to date.
