I was very impressed with the tech demo. By any chance, does anyone know if it was the Luminous Engine which the company showcased it?

Yeah I know FFXIII-2 came out in stores today, but I've been very intrigued on everybody's feedback of the sequel. For me, I cannot afford the game due to most of the money going on books and tuition for college. >.< So now I ask everyone here who played XIII-2 of their reception of the sequel. Is it good? Is it better than its predecessor? Is it the worst game you've ever played (probably too much exaggeration there)?

Go ahead and leave your honest opinion of the game!! :)

I wouldn't mind if future Final Fantasy games omitted voice acting because my specialty is primarily reading texts anyway. However, if Square doesn't remove voice acting, I would love listening to Japanese voice acting instead. :)

For one person to remake FFVII using Unreal Engine 3, I'm quite impressed! Sure it won't be the greatest graphics I've ever seen, but by the looks of the progress it is some great effort. I wonder how Square-Enix is going to reply back to these screenshots.

Thos images look GREAT!

Hopefully they will start thinking about what fans really want more than what their pockets tell them :?

I'm guessing the VII remake is going to be taking the backseat for quite a while. Besides, Square-Enix does have other projects like the appealing-to-Western-audiences video games and their other traditional games like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts.

Unless he has too much free-time then I guess it's ok. Or maybe it's his hobby?Balmane

I would have to say both. :P I hope Square might offer him a job for actually giving some hard work and effort in developing barely the first scene of FFVII.

Yup I knew this day would come, and I didn't have low expectations that it would occur: Final Fantasy Type-0 is officially localizing to North America and Europe! :D

Final Fantasy producer, Yoshinori Kitase, was interviewed from a Spanish site called Vandal and he confirmed that Type-0 is being localized! Not only that, but he did mention some slight intake on Versus XIII that they're working hard in completing it. And to top it off, perhaps there will finally be some news for the upcoming months regarding Versus XIII.

When Type-0 comes to NA and Europe, I'm going to stop playing my Nitendo 3DS from there and start dusting off my PSP. I am very excited! :)

Yep thank you very much for the update Quietpower. I cant beleive it, SE is actually doing something good for their fans :o

Whats next vsXIII release date? :P

angelbless

According to several websites I've researched, Versus XIII is now in 100% full production. In other words, the Versus XIII development team are now fully focusing on creating that game. My hypothesis on the Versus XIII unveil date will be soon.

Yes you read the title and I'm telling no lies: Final Fantasy X is officially coming to the Playstation 3 and the Playstation Vita.

http://www.ripten.com/2011/09/13/tgs-2011-final-fantasy-x-hd-announced-for-vita-ps3/

In Tokyo Game Show 2011, FFX was announced during the Sony press conference. Supposedly, FFX is coming out this year for celebrating its 10-year anniversary but Square-Enix hasn't officially given a release date. Who knows, I WANT THIS GAME!! :D

Mztazmz we need you alive in order for everyone here to know how Versus XIII is like! Haha just kidding with you. But seriously, don't get a heart attack when you finally play that game. But I am curious, how are you going to E3? Didn't E3 exclude the public from attending the conference?
