Yikes that doesn't sound good, i actually haven't run into this at all, it definitely sounds like a bug to me because none of my stuff has ever come up missing, i will say though that once i became archmage at winterhold college i stored alot of stuff in the archmage quarters and i went back recently looking for this one weapon i stored there because i have stored stuff in so many places i have lost track and it was all GONE. So idk if it got stolen or if it is a bug or if i took it out and forgot? IDK but hopefully you can figure it out!
Its honestly however you play the game, like another person stated instead of working on the main story i went and immediately did the mage school quests and maxed my destruction. Then worked on the main story, and even if that is the end of the story there is PLENTY to do afterwards you can go to the bards college in solitude and do all their missions, go around and explore every village pretty much has its own set of quests! I mean i have played pretty regularly since launch and i can honestly say i still have found tons of quests and i haven't even started the dark brotherhood quests yet! This game isn't necessarily about the main story i mean it is but it isn't, its about exploring and doing what you want and enjoying every minute of the game.
NO you are doing exactly as i did! And my gaming experience was GREAT, i can't put the game down and i bought it at release and yes there are TONS to do, even after playing since november i still find SEVERAL quests i haven't completed its like never ending but thats what is soo great and definitely complete the mage guild quests if you have already started bc what you get once you complete them is extremely helpful if you want to be a mage in the game!!
I don't even know where to begin, Skyrim is beyond amazing! The giant world and even months and months of playing there are still quests and places i have yet to find? And i bought it at launch. Yes there are bugs i once had to restart a mission 6 times because the girl i was following kept getting stuck in a bush? I would fight her and laugh then start over! You are in for a rude awakening if you think every game is perfect!! Oh and seeing as how this scored a 9 and above on like every gaming website and billions of ppl play this game, your $$ is probably equivalent to a penny on bethesda's epic money pile! So complain all you want!!
