it manages to find my wireless connectionI type in the key but nothing! Ive tried all the different settings, my router setting ir WPA-PSK...hat am I doing wrong? ive googled and googled cnat find any decent answers!

Basically I got a router from my internet company to goalong with my DSL motorola modem Ive followed the setup CD word for word but the only lights appearing on the router are the power light and wireless THE INTERNET LIGHT WILL NOT COME ON! Ive tried to explain to my ISP that my modem connects to the internet using a USB lead blugged into the USB port on the back of the router into the back of my computer and the thernet port on the modem has nothing going in as I dont use that port for anything! its like the port has no funtion so no wonder my router wont pickup internet access as ive never used the ethernet port to connect to the internet anyway! PLEASE HELP ME! do I need to install something so my internet connects through the ethernet portn on my modem instead of the usb port?
