The 360 upscales original xbox games to 720p, but they don't play all xbox games and some of them don't play perfectly. If you just want to play original xbox games, get an original xbox.

ironwarrior2

Thats for the info.

You should learn to not be so over sensitive and not reply to my thread if you have nothing to offer. This is for discussion of the plus and minus of the xbox backwards compatibility.

The reason I don't just buy a 360 is I doubt I will use it for new games, I mainly want it for the backwards compatibility. To you Xbots that think this is a troll topic.

BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHICHI SHOULDBUY TO PLAY THE OLD GAMES!!!!!!!!!

All I want is to play Shenmue 2 again. My Xbox got stolen back in 2003 and I haven't played it since. I can buy one from gamestop for $50 or a used 360 for $130. But then I need to get component cables AND a hard drive to use the backwards compatibility. I have a samsung 1080p tv so will the 360 make Shenmue look that much better than a original Xbox? Does it really upscale the resolution? Or is the the hassle of getting a rings of death from an OLD(2007)360 not worth it?

THIS IS NOT A TROLL TOPIC, I NEED REAL ADVICE AS I AM GOING TO BUY ONE OR THE OTHER TOM!

I already have a PS3 and Wii and don't really care about getting a 360.

NOTHING of value coming. You would think with the amazing sales Nintendo is having they'd be working round the clock at exlusives to satisfy all these new customers.

What is it? Theres seems to be NOTHING! When is the next Zelda or Mario coming out? Come on Nintendo with all those millions of systems sold there are no good upcoming exclusives. How about a new Donkey Kong Country? There must be something right?

Hmm so no plans for a Holiday price drop? If they have one it will probably happen in Oct just as the PS3 did last year.
