All these guys claiming 720p is so much better than 1080i must be smoking crack. They probably also own cheap tvs that max out at 720p. If your tv is native to 1080i leave it at 1080i. It looks best. I've switched my display option on the PS3 from 720p to 1080i and back many times playing many games. COD4, Uncharted, R&C, Sega Rally, Dirt, etc. There is no real differance in the picture. In1080i the picture is slighty sharper because the resolution is higher. 720p is lower resolution, not better.

I bet it does hit 1 mill on day one. I haven't wanted a game so much since... well ever!

It needs to sell 1 mill on day one to be considered a success. It's the premier game for the PS3 and how well it does will be a big factor in how well the PS3 does in the immediate future after MSG4 comes out. If the game doesn't hit it's numbers Sony will still continue with it's regular plans but it will be a huge blow in determining the winner of sytems wars 2008.

If your tv's 1080i, 1080i looks better then 720p while playing games on the PS3.

Mine has frozen while playing COD4 three times and Stranglehold once in the past month. If it happens twice more I'm going to contact Sony to take up the warranty.

I keep the PS3 on it's own stand isolated from tv, walls ect. I don't leave it one for more then a few hours at a time. I treat it good! If it happens a few more time I'll have to contact sony to get a new one. anyone else ever have to use the warranty through sony?

Sega Rally is awesome. Funest racing game I've ever played. Dirt however is the best racing game on the PS3.

I bought the system a month ago and it has frozen twice during COD4, and once during stranglehold. The system had only been one a couple hours when it froze. Does PS3 need to be taken up on warrantiy with Sony, or is the freezing normal?
