Not every game should hop on the BR bandwagon. See how the successful games of late have all been sticking to their roots, or going BACK to their roots? Not every dev needs to make all their games to fit the current hype.
Yup, CAPCOM has been KILLING it lately. These guys back up to their former glory these past few years. I am glad. CAPCOM is learning and keeping up with what gamers want, unlike most other companies nowadays.
Cheers to CAPCOM!
And apparently nude women in games in tasteless, but nude women in photos or paintings is considered art. Yup, makes a lot of sense.
@phili878: Is that a real question? Why do you think loot crates and real money cosmetic items generate so much extra revenue for companies? Because MOST people care about how their characters look. And companies use that to their advantage.
I won't lie, I will probably see it. If for nothing else, the gore and violence got kicked up a notch, which is always enticing. Not sure how good the movie will be, but Ill reserve judgement until after I see it.
Glad they offering free DLC's this time around. Always glad to support a game that offers some good fun, along with free content updates.
And glad it sounds like they will keep adding things like more specializations.
That being said, the Year 1 Pass definitely sounds a bit underwhelming for the price tag. $40 seems a bit steep for a few cosmetics, a few missions and unlocks, and some early access to DLC's.
Don't really have much reason to doubt GoW5 will be good. I have enjoyed all the previous games quite a bit. But admittedly, 95% of my game play takes place in Horde Mode. Kinda lost interest in the story after GoW3.
Unfortunately, most of this stuff should have been Day 1 content, not months later. Timed Events are understandable. But things like guilds, legendary missions to replay, unique loot from Stronghold bosses, etc. Those should have been in the game from the start.
