I would have said Borderlands 3 and Darksiders 3 were some other big ones missing. Obviously we knew Darksiders wasn't going to be there, but I still hoped BL3 would have shown up. Oh well.

@bongaconga: There was also the far less known Fallout Tactics.

Fallout 3 was great for rebooting the IP and turning it into an amazing FPS with the open world and VATS system.

BUT I would still say NV was overall better. Story was more entertaining, environments varied a bit more, weapon selection was better, ammo customization was a MAJOR improvement(IMO).

Both were great games, but I think NV takes the cake.

@jose_consuela: Lol and yeah, that's great advice(that I would recommend to everyone), but its still silly to have to use an exploit like that in order to get a free beta. Requiring a full price preorder for a beta is becoming a strange trend that sends a bad message. Just makes me sad, is all.

It's nice when companies allow betas and demos for free, in order to let people test the game before buying it. It sends a message of confidence in their product.

When you force people to pay before they can touch even early betas of the game, it sends a message that you are desperate to sell the product before you let people play, because you think people will bail after testing it out. Not a good message to send.

@jinzo9988: Or possibly they saw PUBG make a ver popular game with their engine, and thought "Hey, this is a quick cash grab, lets throw in a BR of our own." And the rest is history.

Plenty of people play Save the World, but you are right in that BR took over the game. I wouldn't be surprised if they just abandoned STW, like they did Paragon, in an effort to focus purely on BR. And then when 100 other games have BR in the next 2 years, they will have very few players, and Fortnite will be a passing fad.

I totally remember reading about that in history class. When WW2 just became an all out free for all, everyone killing everyone, no matter what country they were from, even allied countries were killing eachother on small battlefields that slowly pushed them closer together. So I can totally understand why BR would fit in this game. It is just how history worked at that time. Totally makes sense.........

@Thanatos2k: That was my biggest concern, was seeing Activision behind it. The last thing I need is for my Souls games to get dumbed down and turned EZ-MODE.
