The kid's parents aren't over protective, it's what's best for him. He may be going to Harvard some day cause of his parents. Back in the day my mother and father were beaten when they did wrong things, and today what is it like in America? "Johnny stop throwing stuff" *johnny keeps doing it* "STOP IT" (btw the person speaking to the kid will be an average american, no offense, it's just how it is) For so if you smack the kid (IE spank) he'll know that it's wrong and won't do it. Same thing with being Overprotective, if you do so you know what is best for the kid and he'll know that School>>>Gameing. And btw, if you screw upin middle school, oh well, during you're 1st year in high school....everything counts.
Why you guys urging him to buy something that he won't use to its full potential? He said he doesn't game except WoW and WC3. Since you're always moving around, a laptop is your obvious choice...not sure about MacBook Pro though since I've never used one.Aznsilvrboy
QFTx100 don't listen to the people that are yelling "ZOMG OZMGOZMGOZMGZOGZGMOZGZMGZO CUSTOM COMPUTER" don't, if you're going to be traveling a lot....buy the mac pro book my father bought himself one and I rofl'd in RL pretty badly cause Apples are sh*tty, but I was actually surprised at the performance of it! It does have it's downsides though, like it overheats frequently. To the people saying Custom Computers: he's a traveling person, he only plays WoW and Wo3 why would you build a 3000 dollar computer if he is not even a real big gamer?
Tell you're teach what is the difference: TV: -Violent shows with guns -the average American (I'm a american, no offense to anyone) watches about 7 hours of TV A DAY. -did I say violence? -Violent music videos talking about sex, drugs, killing, blah blah etc. or Video Games: -Interactive violence -Sitting there for 7 hours also -did I miss anything? yeah no difference really.

The community are you kidding me! WoW has one of the worse communties out there populated with jerks,12 year olds, ninjas and way more... Just read teh nuemrous flame wars on their forums for a small taste of it.. There are far better communties then WoW when it comes to MMO's..
Yep cause everyone on the forums=EVERY SINGLE DAMN PLAYER, oh and yep 12 year olds everyone, yep, way to generalize. Oh and btw if you serious think WoW is flocking with 12 year olds....go play Runescape. Okay anyway, yeah WoW has it's pros and cons, I know some of you people hate it, I loved the game but I quit playing it cause after you find out it's just a damn black hole sucking you in and plus the game NEVER ENDS, EVER, PERIOD.
