I just need somewhere to put my ideas that will never be used. Comment on it for improvement or whatever you think of the ideas.
Features:
- It would have to be a futuristic one because honestly WWII games are overdone. Would actually depict war as it is and not some lone squad. You control how you wage war.
- The gameplay would have to be somewhere along the lines of Killzone because I find it much more realistic.
Being able to lean up against a wall (ala Metal Gear Solid) but from a first person view. (Too many fps where teammates and NPC's could lean up against the wall while the player couldn't.) Multiple stances. (straight up, stealth like, and laying down.)(Say if you have a heavy machine gun, laying down will help make it more accurate.) - Vehicles would be added and be hijackable. Tanks, some type of jeep related vehicle with different turrets, dropships, and multiple kinds of other aircraft would be drivable.
Gameplay:
- Play through the game as whatever job you want in the squad. Squad Leader, Medic, Communications Officer, Sniper, Demolitions Expert, Heavy Fire Arms Specialist, or Computer Tech.
- Units would consist of about 15 additional soldiers. To tell other squads on the map where to go or what to do, you need to switch to your Communications Officer and call up the other units on the fly in large scale battles so you can have your plan work the way you want it.
- You would have the ability to call in air support or artillery if your pinned down and reinforcements to hold a position if you need to go ahead. (Would be restricted to large scale outdoor battles only.) Units that you aren't immediately controlling would also call in back up and air support when they think it is needed. The only drawback is to keep your communications officer alive. If he dies whose gonna call in and give the enemy position to the bombers? Back up will still be possible if you link up with another squad though.
- The strategy parts would consist of letting you deploy your dropships to locations that you think will benefit you during the battle. Will you send all your soldiers through the front door, surround the enemy or separate the enemy squads and pick them off piece by piece.
- All the strategy wouldn't take place planet side either. Position a small fleet along the supply route to the enemy planet and board and hijack the supply ships. From there you could either wait for the enemy numbers to drop from lack of supplies or load the supply ships with troops and send them along to the planet as scheduled for a attack from within the enemy compound.
More to come later as it comes to mind...
