Do games influence our actions?

I enjoy video games. I like to steal and crash cars. I like to shoot people and blow things up. I would never do those things in real life. I know the difference between right and wrong. I like to believe that I have good morals. Video games do not influence my actions in the real world. My children play video games. After playing Sonic, my kids run through the house as fast as they can. After playing Marvel Ultimate alliance, my son wants to be called Silver Surfer or Moon Knight. If they play or watch a fighting game, they will karate each other. They are young and impressionable. Video games influence how they act. It is my job as a parent and adult to teach my children the difference between real and make believe. Games are enjoyable. They can be fun for the whole family. It is my job to monitor and decide what's best for my children to play and watch. If they hurt someone, it is not the video game's fault. It is my fault as a parent.
