@jasonmillennium: trade ins sound cool but I like to keep my older consoles (even though I rarely go back to them.)

I can see the ports happening as well.

The already have Zelda, splatoon and Mario kart. I expect smash to follow for sure.

Xenoblade and bayonetta probably won't along with 3D worlds. Starfox is a fairly new Wii U release so it might be ported as well.

About the avatar, I truly loved that game. I wished the follow up games revisited the combo system battles when not piloting the gears. But the xenosaga went typical jrpg and I don't think they'll ever go back after the xenoblade style

@kickrockser: the switch dock needs a USB port and an optional external CD drive that gives access to Wii/U disc games and digital downloads working like psp did on vita.

Well I can dream....

@Bread_or_Decide: I feel the same unfortunately, it sounds like it may be a xenoblade chronicles scenario where the only way you could get it was on eBay for around 100usd used....

@Gomtor: when I got my Wii U or was for xenoblade and Zelda, the other Mario/kart/smash stuff was just icing on the cake.

Seeing that they took one of the games and made it seem like the switch is the real version, and the Wii U some kind of inferior port that gets no love is really a let down

@isariamkia: oh, I can't remember but was it mentioned that the region locks are finally gone?

If it is gone the only thing that may still affect you is the dlc

What upsets me the most with this game.

It was intended as a Wii U exclusive. They wanted to add it for the swtich, fine considering the release date I get that.

What I don't get is why the Wii U version (the originally intended) is getting such a poor treatment. It's one thing to argue hardware but what about the collectors editions? Wii U gets nothing, at least make a "gold" version that comes with an amiibo.

I feel like playing the Wii U version simply because I feel sorry for it

@rdelorne: I do understand your point of view just justifying the cost of it. In someone's opinion, it would seem less valuable especially for features they may not care for.

Reminds me of why I don't really care to do paintings anymore, putting hard work and materials into something that someone values as much as a "picture on the wall" doesn't work well with pricing.

When I got my Wii u it was in fact for exclusives. Wasn't going to play anything on it that I can get on my ps4 and monolithsoft, the staff who worked on all xenogames since gears, all of which I loved, is now exclusive to Nintendo.

My intention would never be to replace, I still have my ps2,3 plus my psp even though I have a vita and when I do a switch I'd still have my Wii u. But I'm the kind of person that likes to see all the past consoles on display, wish I had some older ones.

@wolfpup7: I was thinking 250-300 until I really saw the stuff put into it.

it seems like the only "costly parts" that people think go onto a system are processors and graphics cards. So since it isn't as powerful as the ps4 and xb1. It should be around 200 max

@ballashotcaller: hmm ok, it was the only thing I thought seemed a little high.

I also forgot to mention the fact that most games can be played local 2 player right out the box. Kinda like the old school days when you expected 2 controllers

Everywhere i've been reading comments on the system being overpriced. I think people aren't considering the technology used. Two 1:1 (or nearly) motion controllers with "HD rumble", a docking station and a console that appears to be a high end cellphone (which can be easily doubled the price of the switch).

I don't think the value is bad at all. My only problem is the pro controller price which I do think feels a little high, but not the switch itself
