Cyberpowerpc seems nice and on the cheaper side. Falcon northwest is expensive but seem to be very well made computers. Alienware seems to be in the middle. Voodoo also looks quite good actually...ahhh..im also leaning towards the pre built pcs because of the warrantys and such...

Also, like i said i am quite tech savvy, so i will be able to REPLACE parts, i just dont trust myself building a whole pc. For example the pc i have now is a **** HP..but ive upgraded it quite a bit. 256 ram to 1 gb, geforce 4 to 6 etc.

I've heard bad things about dell though. Them forcing you to buy dell ram? Yuck. They do make good monitors though, which i am also planning on buying.

Im looking into buying a ULTIMATE performance gaming pc, and im wondering what a good manufacturer to purchase from would be. I consider myself tech savvy but i want my investment to last a while, i dont want to screw something up building it myself and waste all the money. I have quite a high budget. (Up to 12000?)
Looking at dual 8800 GTX's to be exact. Just the top of the line. Ive looked on alienware, voodoo, and falcon west. I've marked off voodoo as i found them rediculously expensive, but alienware and falon west seem alright.

Your opinions?

(Note: I dont want to be called a rich bastard, so please refrain from calling me rich, im just really lucky and i dont want to go into it)

I have dsl and I was having a problem with the dns errors until I found out that I had release the ip from my computer,so if you guys get those 612/613 dns errors try this(I have only done it on XP so it might be different on other computers & also this is for people that direct connect it from their modem to thier ps2).

1.click start/run and type cmd

2.a box should appear then type ipconfig and some stuff should come up

3.then type ipconfig/release

4.done

make sure you sign off the ps2 all the way before pluging it back into the computer or your internet won't work

motochris92

Hey it worked, thanks a bunch man.

Alright im really sorry if someone has asked this before, but i didnt want to read through all of this topic.
I dont have a router, i have a quest dsl connection, and i have the modem set up in my room plugged into the phone jack and everything, but i get some sort of error during the setup thats telling me to enter my ip and dns manually, so would someone pllllease do as much as to tell me how i can find both my primary and secondary ip, and my primary and secondary dns.
Im using the slimline model by the way.
