@RobDev And every job I've ever had also had the same type of handbook. Complete with happy faced, multi-racial workers. It's par for the course. The company tells you what you (and their lawyers) want to hear and you are left to accept reality.
I actually saved a few handbooks from previous employers. I sometimes read them when I need a good laugh.
How is this different from any other company? Sounds like every job I've ever worked in. You either learn to deal with it or suck up until you become one of the big dogs yourself.
She sounds like she's just bitter. Either that or it was her first real job and she isn't wise to how business operates.
@NetGod I'm not sure how this qualifies as something negative. It isn't like they've alienated the user base by limiting digital rights to software or requiring constant check-ins. Granted, their competitors dropped those features but the comparison is still valid.
The only negative bit of press about the PS4 so far has been the requirement of PS Plus, but response online seems to be muted. Almost like it's a non-issue considering MS requires the same thing.
@ALCHEMISTx24x7 If it's disrupting me when the lights are off I'll place black duct tape over it. I did the same thing with a USB drive of mine that would pulse orange whenever connected.
The only problem is if it is needed by a game and there is no on-screen GUI equivalent to the light. Such as health being readable only by the light on the pad and not on the TV screen.
If that's the case, then rage will likely be forthcoming.
