Yawn. Just another yearly Call of Duty.

lordreaven

Not really. It's time for another Modern Warfare!!!!

If you wnat REAL modern Warfare, play ARMA 2. M'kay? CoD is a joke of a game, made by a joke of a developer, made a joke of a publisher. The only reason it's successful is it's Advertising budget being twice the size of the games' budget.

1. Infinity Ward are Gods of the gaming industry, and many gamers' favourite developers. It's like saying Nintendo is completely worthless; stop trolling.

2. Advertising has absolutely nothing to do with CoD4 being a commercial success and transforming COD into a global phenomenon. It didn't sell that well initially, but continued to sell like ice cream in 2010 because word of mouth and press.

I want your honest opinion..

What do you think will change in this game that will make it so much better than MW2? If you can't give me a legit answer, then I have to assume that you're trolling.

mD-

Fair enough!

More destructible and bigger environments

flawless, flexible, intense and fast (fun) gameplay

fun to use snipers again

killstreak tweaks (more killstreaks, but also more balanced)

an epic ending to the modern warfare saga

customizable weapons, ****s, emblems, killstreaks etc.

better graphics

epic soundtrack

the definitive multiplayer

more balanced and better perks

competetive MP

insanely good weapons

Spec Ops pwnage (traditional and new, Survivial, mode)

Most of all it will be extremely cool, exciting and funny to play!

I said improvements, not things you already like about the series.

So you basically you feel that this will be more balanced, look better visually, and the game will have bigger environments and enough of that environment will be destructible to alter the gameplay, and the new specs ops additions will amazing? You understand that this game is still running on the same engine that the Call of Duty 2 used and that it's well past out dated. The fast twitch gameplay will still be there, but don't expect a visual jump. The story has already been spoiled (unless they change it). There's nothing surprising/epic about it really. Hopefully they present everything better because other games like Uncharted are ahead of it in that aspect.

Visually, it's not going to touch games like Killzone 3 and BF3 because of the limitation of the engine.

Destructible environment wise, it's not going to touch BF3.

Gun play wise the guns in Call of Duty are heavily affected by the aim assist feature in multiplayer and if you aim down your sights, you can literally spray almost any weapon in the game and still be very accurate. Does this really make for insanely good weapons? The weapons don't sound right when you fire them. In fact that's another area where battlefield excels in compared to pretty much any shooter - the sound design. I wouldn't say this game is as intense as other shooters.

You die quickly and respawn. It's rinse and repeat. When nades/explosions go off around you in Call of Duty, you don't get the same visual effects as you get when you're playing Bad Company 2, Killzone 3, Killzone 2, or even third person shooters like Uncharted 2 or Gears of War 3 beta. The situations that you encounter aren't as crazy as you get in Bad Company 2 or Killzone 3.

It would have been easier for you to say, "I think MW3 will be great because I think they will balance out the game, offer some new game mode, and will still have the great quick and very easy gun play I prefer compared to other shooters." The problem is that you're selling this game like it's going to be the biggest improvement ever and it's going to be so good because everyone is going to be playing it. We get it, you're excited for it. Just because it's the most popular game doesn't make it the best.

Yup, it looks insanely good.

So what is it that makes BF3 even a worthy contender? The graphics? They look good, but nothing more. Seriously, I don't wanna hate, but the gameplay looks extremely boring, and that is what it all should be about. BF3 won't have killstreaks, so it won't be addictive. It won't have perks and special ****s, so it won't be personal and you'll get bored quickly. And it won't have the customization of the CoD series, which of course is boring, because otherwise you could have had a lot of fun when you're not into the game and shooting and just create your own emblems and stuff.

No offence, people seem to think BF3 will be good just because MW3 is back. I guarantee that BF3 will be a lot worse.

[QUOTE="RRTTWAAA"]

Everybody needs to be R3ADY to cease whatever they're doing on Monday May 23, in order to watch the PREMIER trailer for the biggest entertainment property of the year!!

Activision has announced via its Facebook page that the official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 world premiere will be on May 23. More specifically, though, it will be during the fourth game of the Western Conference Finals on ESPN.

Why then? Well, that's anyone's guess -- but if you look at the schedule of games (thanks to Reuters) you'll see that game 4 is potentially the final game. The last game. In the Western Conference. The end of the West(ern Conference). Which would certainly be appropriate for the plot of the new game.

Or it could be Activision just wanted to reveal the game during a high-profile sporting event to ensure a huge captive audience. Who can say? Regardless of the reasons for its timing, you can check out the details of the event on Facebook and tune in to ESPN to see the big reveal on May 23.

In the meantime, check out the teaser videos on the official site.

It's taken them how many years to suggest this? Want maps? Hope you have your wallets ready.skrat_01

It's not about spitting out maps, but about listening to the community and constantly trying to improve on the game, much like Treyarch is doing now.

Between day-one/retailer-specific DLC and the rumored "premium" content, I wouldn't be surprised if not all of those maps are readily available to all when the game ships.

WTA2k5

At least 15 should be ready, and even that is more than anything DICE has got to offer ATM.

If Battlefield 3 plays like Bad Company, picking MW3 will be an extremely easy choice for me.Stevo_the_gamer

Couldn't have put it better myself, well done.

It's going to be like the MW2/Black Ops trailer all the previous years.

And do we really need a new thread for anything related to MW3?

DroidPhysX

That's supposed to mean what exactly?

You're going to see explosions. That's going to be the majority of the video :|

As if war is about much else. ;)

Above is proof that there will be 20 MP maps, and yet you continue to blind hate. Mad because you'll only have 4 maps to play?

streetridaz

I know of 4 maps from BF2, Karkand, sharqi, wake and some other one. Now I Guaranf*******tee that there will be more.

There will be more but we also know that 3 or 4 COD maps will equate to the size and complexity of 1 BF3 map.

And we all know size is all that matters, and that MAG is the best game ever.
