@erocker414: It's true that multiplayer exacerbates the clunkiness of the UI, but the UI was awful even in Fallout 4. As much of a staple as it is, they should just scrap the pip-boy asthetic for something more like Sky UI.
@kappamerc: That may be true. My point is that Masterfrank simply didn't answer the question. You can reasonably think the microtransactions are fair. You can reasonably think they're exploitative. You can reasonably think something in the middle. What you can't reasonably think is that "they're cosmetic" is an answer to "how much does it take to buy everything?"
@sycholic: Almost every other MMO has NPCs (including the Elder Scrolls Online). This isn't people not getting what the game is, it's people not liking what the game is. I've watched a ton of impressions videos and not one has said the lack of NPCs works, even those that like the game overall. It's a bad decision that is not necessary to make an MMO.
@Pierce_Sparrow: No ones against multiplayer. They're against MMO-ing fallout. If Fallout 76 was a standard experience with the option of co-op, no one would be upset.
@serrad: We know it won't. Starfield and ES 6 first. If we get Starfield next year, then ES 6 three years later, then FO 5 three years after that... that's 7 years. And that's optimistic. It's been 7 years since ES 5 and will probably stretch to 10 before ES 6.
