Those are glitches that existed in the NES carts. Hence the perfect emulation.meimnobody
In other words, if the original NES cartridge were played on a set-up without overscan, the same colored strip on the left side of the screen and the strip of glitches (during screen movement) on the right would be visible? This would probably make sense, as Mario doesn't seem to be able to go as far as the strips -- but why haven't any other games had the same problem?
