Considering Zelda only charted in 7th place in the UK, I think the lack of sales could have something to do with the numbers of gamers not using their Wii's anymore. I can't speak for other countries, but if Zelda can't do so well here, then games like the Conduit have no chance.

The room on the home menu is, or at least for me, determined by the number of games I had on the screen. I noticed it increased greatly a couple of months ago, shortly after recieving the 10 NES games.

3D shouldn't really be that impressive after 10 minutes. We're all used to a sense of depth in everyday life, so we're not going to be freaked out by it in a game or on TV. It does help with 3D platforming though!

It kinda shows you why they've held up releasing platformers for as long as they have. I guess they don't lend themselves to 3D as well as other genres. Top down Shooters clearly work well, and they did a great job with Excitebike and Urban Champion. There's not much else they could have done with Kirby, unless they rebuilt everything in 3D like Urban Champion, but that would have taken forever.

When people say 3D adds depth, it doesn't mean it changes what you see, but rather how you see it. When jumping away from the screen in 2D, it can be hard at times to determine how far you have to move and where you're going to land. 3D eliminates this problem as the two images allow your brain to determine that distance based on two slightly different images. It's like if somebody in front of you stretches out an arm and points their index finger upwards, at the sky, and you have to touch the tip of that finger with one of your index fingers. It's a weird thing to try, but with only one eye open your brain will not be able to judge the distance between the two fingers as well and so you're likely to miss your target or spend longer than normal trying to do it.

You're also forgetting that you read GameSpot. Unless its Mario, games on Nintendo consoles rarely get rated too highly. They tend to be a good point or so under the general opinion. There are exceptions, but they are few and far between. You could always start using other gaming sites for your reviews.

NFS: The Run was quite poorly recieved on Eurogamer, but that was the console version. Here's hoping the handheld version, with its lack of on-foot rubbish, has worked out better.
