I'd guess around 200+ hours on Mario Kart DS. That game is additcive. Then perhaps around 60 hours on Animal Crossing.

[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"][QUOTE="Zweihand"]Your opinion, entirely subjective... :roll:VGobbsesser

Wrong, my facts are facts

Hardcore players play every single genre

That means unless you're playing them all you're a casual, hate to break it to you.

If you just center on certain franchises you're an enthusiast.

Enjoy your new moniker

Because obviously,your definition is the only one that matters,and everyone else's is wrong...:roll:

Im not sure what is worse. The days in which games were seen as nerdy and childish, or that gamers today call themselves hardcore. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what games you play, or how many games you play, just as long as you enjoy them. I know people who have been gaming nearly 40 years and yet they still avoid many genres of game because they don't like them. You can't like everything. That's like saying you're not a real fan of a band because you don't like every track from every album they've ever released. Personally I think anyone who calls themselves a hardcore gamer is more likely someone, probably a teenager, who depends too heavily on gaming in their lifestyle.

Sonic 1 and 2 on Genesis/Mega Drive are brilliant, but so is Sonic 1 on the Master System. Sonic 2 on the Master System however is a big pile of poop.

It's not unlikely. I mean Resident Evil 4 was exclusive to Gamecube and now its on 3 platforms. That and although Resident Evil 5 has plenty of on-screen action, its not something a good bunch of develpers couldn't work around. The core gameplay is identical to Resident Evil 4 and, at least from the demo, the AI is no better either. Not that these zombie like beings need to be smart in anyway. Porting really wouldn't be a problem. It just wont be so crowded with zombies and they'd have to increase the difficulty to compensate for the superior aiming system on the Wii version. I'm hoping for Wii port, but Capcom wont budge on the matter until after the 360 and PS3 release.

The only problems I have with the GTA series are that the last 3 have become boring after a couple of weeks and that GTA IV and San Andreas have included some pretty pointless and silly features like putting on weight and getting girlfriends. I'm hoping Chinatown Wars returns its focus to the core gameplay and fun missions of GTA and GTA III. As for the DS online discussion, hacking is no worse than it is when playing PC games online. You just have to work around it. Use the internet and find people who play often and fairly. Add them as friends and look them out when ever you play online. As it is, I usually only find a cheater on Mario Kart DS perhaps once in every 4 or 5 games. It's usually much more than 5 if nobody leaves the games after 4 races. Saying that though, it's pretty tough to find any kind of normal game on Metroid Prime Hunters. People are either too good or you don't realise some one is cheating lol.

2001 was one of the best years for gaming. All the great games that came out for all the consoles.

Final Fantasy 10, MGS 2, GTA 3, Gran Turismo 3, Devil May Cry, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Pikmin, Halo, Twisted Metal Black, Project Gotham Racing, Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Conker, Onimusha, Operation Flashpoint, Ico, Silent Hill 2, Jak and Daxter, Max Payne, Sonic, Red Faction, Advance Wars, etc.

I would rank it #1 or 2 on my list. What about you?

2001 wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't that great in my opinion. So many big titles released, but most of them overhyped and over-rated.

In my opinion, the N64 and original Playstation are the two greatest games consoles ever. So many good games and so many original titles. How I miss those days!

[QUOTE="Raiko101"][QUOTE="AlexSays"]

[QUOTE="mariokart64fan"]one thing that irritates me is the luck system i raced 2 laps being in 1st place on dks mountain gc , but in the end of the race i got hit by a red end up going to 3rd the race before that i got shuffled to fifth 2 other races i scored 1st if it wasnt for that 5th place finish i would have beaten the last retro cup in the 150 cc AlexSays

Who's beating that dead horse?

Oh, it's you.

Can I ask what your sig is about? I'm from the UK so don't really watch American football.

The object is to carry the ball across the goaline.

That particular player thought he was across the line, so he threw the ball away.

Unfortunately for him, he wasn't across the line, so he threw the ball away, instead of scoring.

It's a very stupid mistake, which is why it's funny to watch.

Oh right. Well I get the basic rules of American Football, but it just looked suspicously like he'd thrown away a touch down on purpose.

Moon oddly resembles Halo. Well the main character does anyway, but he is a spaceman after all.
