No, I don't agree.
The quality of the Live experience is beyond crap. Which isn't Microsofts fault to be honest. But they give the illusion to you that they monitor what's going on in matches. If someone disbehaves extremely enough, such person would be banned for a period of time. In practice this is never the case though. I've seen lots of extreme racists just going about and when reported, you find out that nothing ever happens to them.
The service if fine, I just don't think you can ask money for something you are not offering. Microsoft does not offer a relatively safe experience, Microsoft does not offer the fastest and best online matches and Microsoft does not offer a great paying service. Accounts are being hacked and everyone knows how messed up it is to cancel a Gold subscription.
The service is fine as it is. But not for 50 bucks a year. It's quality is not as high that I would pay a brand new game for it. They can up the quality of lower the price. Either is fine with me. But right now I just do not believe such a price is justified for what they are offering. Or at least, for what they say they are offering.

In there defense, every game states that online experience may differ. Also, for those saying Live should be free is the same as saying internet should be free. Would I be happy it's fee, yes. Would I expect it, no. Nothing is ever truly free, companies are in business to make money & they have cost involved with their products & services. Even though some may claim somethng is free, you can pretty much guarantee that you are paying for it, you just may not know how.
[QUOTE="dxy592"]People won't stop playing Call of Duty 4 for a long time, even if other good first person shooters are released. A lot of people are still playing Gears of War and it's been a year and a half since it was released. Even with other great games which were released more recently, like The Orange Box, CoD4, Halo 3, and Raibow Six Vegas 2, Gears of War still has a large online community.
[QUOTE="RaptorVenom"]I will be glad when most of the more hardcore gamers leave COD4, I am tired of playing the people who live & breathe the game to the point they can kill u without even seeing U anymore. I like playing the casual gamers myself which is why I hate the fact there is no choice for Players Match in COD4 like there was in 2 & 3. I hate ranked matches in all games.HellRazer360
There is a Private Match option in Call of Duty 4. You can invite your friends or they can invite you. Unranked, plenty of fun.
ya but how many friends will be willing to quit playing ranked to come play with you....im just saying i always found it hard to fill up private matches and since there is nothing on the line like rank or anything most people just quitGlad I read on down. I was just about to say the same thing. I like the whole ranking up thing, just wish it would apply to friends games as well, it kind of made it hard to get a good friends only game going cuz everyone worries about the ranking up points & such.
