@Hurvl @Ravenshout Not MMOs per se, but LoL has somewhere around 32 million players last I checked. That and World Of Tanks. Bear in mind that these aren't MMOs per se. They just happen to be free-to-play online games. Alas, in terms of profit generation, no single game comes close the amount of money WoW sucks in every year.
I am very pleased that this podcast is still going on despite you and your colleagues' workload. I have been listening to this podcast since the very first episode, and I must say that I really enjoyed most of the episodes.
Alas, I have two qualms:
First, I think the 'games' are not broad enough in terms of their relations with the various video games genres out there. Most of the time the answers are related to either RPG, FPS, or Action Games. Rarely have the answers been about RTS, or strategy games in general. For example, whenever you test the podcasters' knowledge on games music, most of the answers (the correct ones) are either from the most popular genres or your favorite video games (Kingdom Hearts, FF, though I love the latter).
Second, the largest chunk of the podcast should be dedicated to news and current issues, not some trivia- games (they are informative sometimes). And yes, I think the podcast would improve if you discuss video games in relation to the larger world out there, like how post-apocalyptic atmosphere in video games relates to non-video games works of similar setting like Nausicaa, The Road and such.
At the end though, the creative formula of the podcast needs no change: Discussions interspersed with games, but just make the discussions broader and bolder. As for the jokes, keep up the good job.
