I really miss the days when I used to play a game that was so unique and attractive, that in the next day at work (school if you wish), I had to keep thinking about it, and how I'm going to enjoy my time playing it at the end of the day. Such kind of games was, in my opinion, the splinter cell series (prior to conviction). I remember how compelling the experience of playing splinter cell was; the levels design, the movement animation of the main character, the technology and equipments he could use to conquer his way through every mission, and most importantly how weak Sam Fisher was, to open combat and direct fire...
Now it's more like another fancy shooter game that's just playable if you have the time...I think, this is not renaissance, in best cases this is smart marketing; the market requires fast paced, uncomplicated games, and you deliver them...
