god i can't believe i have to pay AGAIN.. I just had to pay for the same thing last year to access the friggin app store.

I still have the first gen iPod Touch.. All the apps now require you to update to the 3.0 software update now. The only problem is the 1st gen would not benefit from any of the major updates. The 2nd gen iPod Touch has the external volume control and bluetooth. Mines does not, and this is what the update allows to work now.

So what should I do? All the new apps now want the 3.0 updates and as you know the thing is useless without apps. As a music player alone it is just average at best. I have never had to pay for software until now.. ugh.

What are some other good mp3 players? I need to upgrade anyway because my 16 GB iPod Touch reached max yesterday. I have a Macbook Pro so I need something compatible. I might just get XP so I can buy a Zune HD unless someone knows of a better/cheaper mp3 player..
