@dinosaur-123 is just the average third-world whiner looking for something to complain about against more civilized places. Move along, people.
The voice acting isn't superb but it is OK, even surprisingly so considering how many times the city/country has been portrayed in games (that is, next to none).
PS.: I'm Brazilian and I live in São Paulo - something any local with even a passing knowledge of soccer would recognize by my avatar.
@R083R70 Only idiots believe that the mere *existence* of a feature - be it multiplayer or whatever - makes a game automatically good or bad. It's pure high school mentality, 'you don't use the same colors as my clique does, you're dumb'. Not surprising, since most gamers still are stuck in the teenage mindset way longer than any healthy being should be allowed to.
And it's telling to see someone being accused of 'bitching' when coming here to share actual, useful information instead of just random onliners such as 'oh I'll rent it' (who the friggin' cares!?). Says a lot about the accuser and the oneliners.
@vadagar1 I agree with that. That's why I'm getting Max Payne 3 while I wait for Diablo III to release some of these days. I've had enough Diablo II to not care about this ten-year late expansion Blizzard is releasing next week... XD
No, seriously. I've played the hell out of the Diablo III beta and it's pretty much what Activision does with CoD every year. It's just that since they took TEN YEARS to do it AND it's a PC-rooted game, everyone pretends it's not so.
@QOSMSTR You're wrong. Both are around the 60 million mark worldwide. Last time I checked the Xbox was about 500,000 ahead - less than 1% of the totals.
Fact is, there are only two reasons why the Xbox didn't tank completely:
- The US and the UK loves Halo (before anyone calls bias on me, I *do love it too*. I own almost every game in the series).
- Lots of people who chose the Xbox have bought 2 or 3 consoles at this point. (Not me, thankfully.)
People in the US sometimes don't realize the power the Playstation brand still carries elsewhere. Even three years into the Wii's mainstream popularity, I got to see dads entering stores asking if they did have the 'Playstation Wii' in stock. Granted, I live in a country with a very limited gaming culture (Brazil), but still.
@maxwell97 @Jebril Yeah, it's a clutch Sony haters just can't let go of, much like the PS2 backwards compatibility. And the truth of the matter is that only an infinitesimal part of the audience ever used those. Glad to see them go, no need to make the console more expensive so a handful of people can catch up and/or clutter the interface with something like Other OS just so a bunch of basement weirdos have something to tinker with.
@QOSMSTR It always amazes me that no one ever takes this conclusion the other way around. Most gaming portals are based on the US. The Xbox 360 is the only major console manufactured by an american company. Of course that makes it easier for MS to market its console in the US and neighbouring countries. That's not exactly bias, it's just a natural/cultural movement. The same can be said about Sony/Nintendo and Japan. The companies know their own markets better than anyone else and profit from it.
@muppen At least half the 'news' this Eddie Makuch guy wrotes is either console fanboy flamebait or are spin doctored to attract cheap pageviews. Even those facts that ARE newsworthy - including Sony losses - are always treated in such a way. It's sickening to see good people leaving Gamespot so they can hire and promote an intern to do this.
