@someoneelse: Its because this generation there no advantage really to not opt PC vs PS4 or Xbox One.

With all the hidden costs on consoles now, and the things just being okay for 2014 gaming PCs, its just not worth the hassle unless you really like 1st Party games (which Playstation Now and the Microsoft App Store are are even starting to cut into).

A Hat in Time isn't exclusive to PC, it just doesn't have a announced console port yet.

They've made it clear they want in on a Nintendo platform if possible.
