The FIA's World Motor Sport Council has confirmed a 22-race calendar for the 2014 Formula 1 season.
The schedule adds the Grand Prix of America in New Jersey as a provisional fixture, with the street event having been absent from the previous draft leaked at the start of the month.
AUTOSPORT revealed during the Singapore GP weekend that the FIA was set to leave a slot open for New Jersey after all.
Mexico and Korea are also listed as provisional.
The new season will again start in Australia on March 16, followed by races in Malaysia and Bahrain, which moves to the third slot rather than the fifth it had in the draft schedule.

Also further congratulations to tony205 - his Perfect Podium Prediction makes him only the second ever person to achieve this twice (I'm no longer a stand-alone in this field!).
As long as Avenger doesn't win any more races this year, I'm happy - I still lead the way for most wins in a season (which I'd have to share with Avenger if he gets another!) and most career wins!
I read in the paper that in 2002 he had a season where he was on the top 3 in every single race.Garfield360UKIndeed correct. Schumacher's 2004 season came with only one retirement, and that was from a crash. In fact, he went from the 2001 Hungarian GP to the 2005 Malaysian GP without a single mechanical DNF.
Fangio also did it, so Seb would be the third again. Second if he wins five in-a-row, first if he does six.SotD: Vettel, what a dominating performance, on top of his game all weekend. I seriously can't see how he isn't going to win that 4th world title, if I'm correct only Schumacher has won 4 in a row before, or did Fangio do it too?
