1) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145177http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145184

Any pros or con for one over the other. Or the third option waiting a month to see if there's a better deal. Im new to all the 4-4-4-12 or 5-5-5-18 stuff and pc60.... so if someone would care to explain that would help.

Is this a good deal and can it power a Q6660 + Hd 4870. And once again is this a "steal" or can i find a better deal in the next month and a half?

EDIT: With the Promo code it's 19.99$ not 24.99$ not that it makes much of a difference but just saying.

Thanks for all the replies. There is a way to upgrade to a 4850. If i were to find it on a good sale or if i were to buy it regularly i might have to switch down to a p45 motherboard instead of a 750i which i don't is worth.. By the way i have no pieces yet.

What's a better gpu to get from those 2 ( or if there's something in it's price range that's better) to match a rig with Q6600 and a 750i Motherboard.

Hey. Thanks that was a really good description. yes this is my first build period, and my first gaming pc. As of my case, i wanted it to have alot of air flow and look really nice. This left me with a couple choices and i ended up choosing the antec 900. So i guess you can say its my 'sacred cow'. My second thing is im going to be using a 32 bit os for a couple months until windows 7 comes out then im upgrading to a 64 bit, So that's where 4gb comes in. Lol no worries on the Ddr2 vs Ddr3 i know that but what i was asking is when i looked at the motherboard it said 240pin and then the words 'Memory Standerd: 1066/1333Mhz.' What im asking is does that mean that it's for those types and up? Or am i misinterpreting Memory Standard? The "How to build a Pc" guides is what got me started so i have learned quite a bit. Unfortunetly with the budget i have (900$ and i need a moniter, keyboard, mouse and speakers) i won't be able to get a 200 series card so my plan is to get a good processor that will last for a long time ( Q6600 (can always overclock)), a pretty good motherboard 750/780i, most likely the 750 and then a decent case. For the graphics card im leaning towards a ati 4830 because 1. It's very cheap, 2. It can max almost every game(except crisis) and 3. It should last me till the summer at the very least. Then in the summer when i get my cash ill get a better psu if needed and upgrade my gpu. So now my whole goal is to try and save 15$ here and 20$ there ect.. So i can get better parts for my budget, and i have 1.5 months to look for deals so untill i find one i probably won't buy anything.

I have a question, i was looking at mouses and i realised "dpi" i used to always think sensitivity as in for speed, but i don't know if im right. The whole "Fly on the way" or w.e you call it is confusing, if someone would care to explain it i would be gratefull. Thanks :)

EDIT: As for the case i have decided not to get it yet, because from what i heard there are lots of sales on them throughout the year and this one was a good one except for the fact that with shipping it's back at 95$ so...

DOUBLE EDIT: I couldn't find benchmarks comparing 8800gts( Not g92) and the 4830. So does anyone know which one is better?

[QUOTE="RedxSniper"]Alright next one, antec 900 at 79.99$. Now or later( as in in one month) i don't really now much about case prices. Honestly i've decided ima go with the ram because for 24.99$ for 2 x 2 Gb it can't get much cheaper then that....RedxSniper

The above question and when looking for ram compatibility do you look at 'standard memory' or just the pins. Because the motherboard i want is 240 Pin but the memory standard is 1336+/1006 or w.e and the ram im getting is 240 pain with 806 or w.e .
