And yes, I'm fully aware that there are many quality bands/artists from other nations as well, so I don't require a list. Basically, what makes bands from the UK or US have such a wide appeal while a band from a Non-English speaking nation would have a harder time picking up a large fanbase?
It's just a sitcom based off of cheap gags and a stereotypical portrayal of "nerd" culture. Nothing clever about it. And if you have to be "clever" to understand it, why is it such a popular sitcom?

Well I'm a movie buff so I thought I would like it since it is pretty critically aclaimed. And from what I hear, it's not even that historically accurate. It's pretty much a portrayal of Lincoln from an "elementary-school propaganda point of view".
I disagree with everything you said but I'm too lazy to say why.
tl;dr Lincoln was an awesome film and deserves all the awards it will get.
