I never really liked films that have been based on games before, as they have always been rubbish. Super Mario, Street Fighter, Resident Evil and the awful DooM (and I love the DooM games!!).

But I went to see Prince of Persia last night and it was really good. I've never played the game before but the film was well written and well-acted. It just shows that when the right people are behind it, a video game movie can work!

I just hope Mass Effect gets the same treatment.

It always makes me smile that when sex is put into games, non-gamers get all squeamish about it. Hasn't the human race been doing this 'evil' deed for over 500,000 years now?

My First Mass Effect 2 play through took me 48 hours and the sex scene was only about 1 minute long anyway! (I played it on insane from the start that's way it took so long, check my achievements if you don't believe me!)

At the end of the day, you can see more adult themes on a soap opera and there on way before the watershed.

As long as they keep Uwe Boll away from the camera, it should be fine.

Oh and I think they should cast Danny Devito as Biotic God!

It had best be based on one of the books. They are all well-written tales, set in the universe we love. The games themselves are far too vast to tackle via one movie, and the format would remove a lot of the character interaction that made the game special.psn8214

The second book was good, but the first one was a bit dull. Maybe Kaylee Sanders and Paul Grayson will be the main stars of the movie. After all the film does have to fit into the Mass Effect Universe and basing it on the game wont.

It will be interesting to see if the story is the same as the games or just inspired by it (Like the awful DooM film). Also which of the species of Alien they will choose to be in it.

Personally I think Seth Green should play the part of Joker in the film as well.

I think the future DLC for ME2 will be at E3 but it might be too soon for ME3. Maybe at the Gameshow in October ( I forgot what its called) we will see more of ME3.

Nah. I'm planning on majoring in Biology or Marine Biology. I'm kind of a nature freak, and I want to do something meaningful outdoors.

psn8214

Higher education is always the best thing to do and always remember that if anyone tries to put you off doing Biology / Marine Biology or make fun of it, just tell them that any of the 9 main sciences are important for the improvement of human knowledge. I never liked Biology myself, I chose Physics as one of my Degrees.

Anyway, is anyone else getting Red Dead Redemption on Friday? I just watched the latest trailer on the Xbox and I think it looks amazing. I never really took much notice till now, but now I can't wait to play it!

The planet scanning is much better now; the curser is bigger and moves at a faster speed. Why has it taken five months to fix it though? Unless Bioware didn't think it was a problem.

Does anyone else think that the Cerberus Network has been a bit of a let down? I mean its okay for people who brought the game new but at 1200mp for anyone who picked up a second hand copy aren't really getting their moneys worth.

I never used Zaeed that much especially when Garrus joins the squad (plus I think he had the worst voice acting) and the Firewalker pack was interesting but seriously underused and at times very dull. As for the free weapons, apart from the flame thrower, I never use them.

What does everyone else think, worth the 1200 points or not?

Its not Monkey Island but it is a Lucasarts game (back when Lucasarts made good games and not just Star Wars shovel ware!)
