More than anything I'm suprised that they're talking about FF14 releasing at the same time as 13

In general, commercial games != Linux. You can use WINE which will get most of your games to work, but I don't use Linux to play games anyway. Start on the Ubuntu Forums and familiarize yourself with the terminal commands if you have never used Linux before. Personally, I'd stick with Windows if you want to play games. For the most part, you'd need to dual boot Windows on a Mac for games too.

I think my problem is just that they are both very good. I enjoy Oblivion's larger world but Fallout seems just as vibrant albeit smaller

In case you don't know all Oblivion dlc is half price on Marketplace for a week (save horse armor which is 2x). I'm thinking about buying the dlc or Fallout 3? I'm leaning towards Fallout but I'm not sure what do you guys think?
