yes it will, cant say when, might not even be this gen but it will eventually because the 360 isnt likely to be getting supported for aslong as the PS3.

I highly doubt that. Hardware life cycles are determined by the success of the hardware. Just look at the PS2, it's still supported. As long as a console is still making money it will be supported. As far as things are going now with Sony losing money on the PS3 unlike the successful PS2 I don't think the PS3 will be supported as long it's predecessor. Kind of like how Sony dropped support of UMD, it all has to with the success.

I'm not sure but didn't the PS3 have a price drop in it's first year as to where the 360 didn't? And didn't that PS3 model support full Backward capability and that model was no longer being made? I'm sure that spiked sales. Surely when you factor in price drop limited skus you really can't fairly compare the PS3 and 360 launch years. As far the future price goes, 360 could cut the price now as to where it's too tight for Sony (with the PS3 billions lost and all). MS will always have a better price point.

[QUOTE="raahsnavj"]Actually, the reason the PS3 will outsell the X360 is because more people had a PS2 than a Xbox and most people just stay with the same brand when they upgrade. More familiar games / characters / label on the hardware... It doesn't help that people seem to have a very hard time keeping the X360 running too...67gt500
That hasn't been the case so far... only a fraction of the people who own(ed) a PS2 have gone on to purchase PS3... and interestingly, 360's hardware related 'issues' haven't slowed down their sales momentum whatsoever...

Yeah what the **** the PS3 can't even beat console that RRODs.

You can't compare the time periods a lot of people weren't ready for next gen yet. Plus Sony had tons of hype and the the PS3 price was iffy at the 360s launch, Im sure lots waited to see how things we gonna pan out like my self before buying a PS3 or 360. Also the PS3 was supposed to have 100 fps and the 360 was just 2.5 underpowerd Xbox, ofcourse now we the two consoles are close in power and the PS3 cost alot but at the time that wasn't the case.

Didn't the ps3 only out sell the 360 for like 5 months? Who cares about a head start the ps3 isn't catching up.
