First of all, no offense to Kilrim, but your english is beyond horrendous. I mean... seriously "o trollish sheeple" , "fanboyish" "duoply" ????? seriously, this is not a Lord Of The Rings forum, so please write more linear and keep the hobbit phrases to yourself. tyvm. Other than that, I'll agree with your take on us pc folks being duped. Second of all, I'm amazed that I can run Starcraft 2 with my AMD Athlon 64 6000+ 3.2ghz dual core and a 8800GT on medium[ish] settings, but APPARENTLY, a racing game where resources should not even be demanding can't even pull me 40 fps in free roam driving. Can't play multiplayer cause my framerate consists between 15 to 27 fps. Not even turning off all the 'High textures' and all that crap doesn't make a dent on performance. So yes, the game is terribly terribly optimized. People with their core i5's/Phenom II's are too shallow to see since they already have good rigs, but us folks who aren't using the latest hardware are the ones that get slapped and take the toll. Stop defending the game when you know you don't know squat. Black Ops apparently has the same problem afaik.
seems I'm not the only one. I have an AMD Athlon 64x2 6000+(it's running at 3.2ghz dual core), 8800GT, 4GB DDR-2 Ram and Win 7 and this game is just terribly choppy. I know my pc is somewhat outdated, but that's not the point. I have other latest game like Arkham Asylum, Assassin Creed 2, NBA 2k11 and other new not so demanding games that run excellent with a smooth 40 to 50 consistent frame rate. But NFS: Hot Pursuit is just unplayable at 6 player races. It dips to 17 fps when you're going fast or in a tunnel or where loading textures are at most. The max i got was around 50 in free roam [and that was where traffic was at bare bone and me going at low speeds] The normal fps i get in career ranges from 15 to 35 fps My system is suppose to run the game much better than this. Canyourunit dot com says i passed on my recommended settings, so what the hell gives? It has to be terribly optimized or it was a fast rushed port. I had plans of getting my new computer around summer of 2011, this is such a joke.
