its possible that crytek has found hidden powers within the cell and tapped into them to actually make it look the best on PS3. This will finally prove PS3 is the Graphics King System but hey at least PC will still be better then the 360 which couldnt produce a graphics king this whole genScar_Finger

This , like any other SW thread turned into a PC hatefest. "Oh nothing interests me on PC even though it has the biggest and most diverse libary" .

Now that I've seen the screenshots I'm not too impressed I'm afraid.

The contrast looks over done, dark areas turn to smudged while bright areas like the sky are blinding, are there any clouds or is it just a bright glare?

Textures aren't too good either, but that could be the crappy jpeg compression, some of these 1080p images are only around 200kb in size.

I'll have to have control of the game to know for sure...

We've only seen a couple of mug shots. Neither should anyone crown it graphic king, nor should you nitpick on everything.

[QUOTE="imprezawrx500"][QUOTE="Ninten007"]

All this piracy is ruining gaming.

Ubisoft would not put in DRM in the first place if PC gamers never pirated games.

It is worrying if AC 2 gets pirated then Ubisoft and other companies would more likely stop supporting the PC. Dont be stupid, just buy the game.

MellowMighty

pc games sell fine and all this drm just kills sales. why buy a game that you can only install 3-5 time before having to contact support when you can pirate it and never have any of those problems? The real point of drm is to stop resale. the game companies hate the used game market and want it dead. but putting in limited activations is not the way to do it, if they want to stop resale using steamworks is much more effective as there are no activation limits.

Looking at the best selling PC games, every single one (basically for a while down the list) is a pretty old game. PC sales are dying.

And yet PC gets more games than the three consoles combined. Go figure.

[QUOTE="iKINGBOBi"]

[QUOTE="Revan_911"] Crysis is the best looking game ever made and that is not an opinion that is a fact. Even after Crysis there are ton of PC games that look better than UC2 and KZ2. Take Far Cry 2 PC for example (A multiplat).

DJ_Headshot

No, its not a fact, its a popular SW opinion. Far Cry 2? You mean this Far Cry 2:?

Why are people trying to squeeze in other games besides Crysis as better looking than PS3 exclusives:?

i'll agree on farcry 2 not looking better then uc2 or kz2 it pains me when people list it as graphically impressive(same with assassins creed 1) and even compare it to crysis when it can't even compare to the best looking console games let alone crysis....The game looks very fake and plastic and has a horrible art****

Doesn't look better than Crysis. Looks better than any console game (at least maxed).

[QUOTE="Revan_911"]Crysis 2 PC>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Crysis 2 consoles.67gt500
Really? I'm asking because I could swear I recently read some article online where they had the console versions running side-by-side with the PC version and said that there was no discernable difference...

I read the article too. It said that Crytek Engine 3 will utilize the strengths off all three platforms and that the goal is to make the best possible version on each platform. Crytek also mentioned that the goal is to make Crysis 2 look way better than Crysis on PC.

[QUOTE="mo0ksi"]It`s not like they can`t make the game with the same level of depth as the original, regardless of it coming to consoles. People tend to forget that the original Deus Ex was also on PS2, and no depth was sacrificed AFAIK. That said, I hope they can strike a fine balance between accessibility and depth.

It's not as much as the limitation of the console, but the people on the console you know the audience.

[QUOTE="dakan45"][QUOTE="Revan_911"] I was talking about Stalker, not Bioshock :P. You were saying you don't want Deus Ex 3 to become cheap as a PC exclusive or something along those lines. The only thing Stalker was lacking were some good animations and some time in a motion capture studio.

Personally it lacks everything, stability, many bugs, good story, the combat is unbalanced and unpolished. Nice dialogues, or something to make the user keep playing the game. Also i find the graphics pretty dated and the worldmap, kinda small in comparison with fallout 3 or the real zone enviroment it takes place. If being a pc gamer means less polish and lesser quality standards than most multiplatform games, then i am gonna pass and choose a multiplatform. On the other hand the witcher was an amazing product that should represent the quality of rpgs on the pc. To put it simply metro 2033 is coming out. Perhaps its linear and its a con that it does not have the exploration of stalker but i am sure it will be more polished and i will enjoy the graphics, the shooting and the story more than stalker. It will supply have higher developing standards.

Why are you comparing it to Fallout? Stalker is not an RPG...And dialogue? Common. A good story it had, a very good one. Story and setting are one of the best I've seen recently. And just because shooting has realistic recoil and other stuff like that doesn't mean that it's not good. It's just more realistic than some run and gun shooters you are used too. You need to take cover or you will die. When you get shot you bleed and it will kill you. It doesn't have that magic regeneration factor "polished" FPS have . I am not trying to be biased Console vs PC or anything, I've played most multiplat shooters and Stalker is easily the best one.
