EA's history is not good if you have the time look them up on wiki and the studios they have owned, some studios they owned had most of their staff fired or fell apart. But even putting that aside just look at them EA are people who want money so people can buy cheats for their games what does that tell you.

As much as i want to belive that EA have changed i just can't belive it and there are no facts to back up that claim im sorry but if the same happens to bioware like all the other studios ea has bought we will be seeing less quality and more quantity with countless expansions, the same engine used in all of the games, games released on every platform out there gba/xbox/ps2/xbox360/ps3 etc.

We can only hope for the best, and Battlefield games on the PC stayed exclusive on the PC, unless you count the console spin offs

Like i said right now i really don't care about exclusivity, i know its hard to belive since this is system wars and all but i have been a bioware fan since baldurs gate. What i care about now is what will happen to the quality of their games, if i had to choose between all bioware games coming to ps3 instead of ea buying them i would gladly choose the ps3 over EA.

lol Mass Effect died before its release  now the only thing that will happen to Mass Effect is that it will completely go multiplat and be horrible or just stop at the first and there will be no more......but really Mass Effect for 360 is suppose to be a trilogy so it might have a cliffhanger ending if you know what i mean and if there is no sequel to fill up that cliffhanger then i dont know.....xbox 360 mass effect fans got owned :D......Microsoft is losing everyone, first there own 1st party devs and now there 3rd party devs who before were guaranteed to make 360 exclusives like Mass Effect but not anymoremingo123

Mass Effect is alredy finished and is coming out next month ea can't do anything to harm the game right now. Anyways im glad you are talking about your fanboysim but what im talking about here is not exclusivity or any crap like that what im talking about is that if EA do to bioware like they have done to every company they bought it would be bad for everyone. Think about it from now on pc/xbox360/ps3/wii bioware games will be worse if EA are true to their rep.

EA is not as bad as it use to be IMO, besides EA sports that is.....

And nice to hear Dragon Age is still in devolement

Actually they haven't changed a bit, from now on i expect bioware to put out unpolished and buggy games, still i may be wrong and i sure as hell hope i am. But think about it EA spends a crap load of money on bioware they sure as hell will expect to have their money as soon as possible and milk the bioware brand as much as possible, im sorry to say this but hope is not a factor in bussines.

EA has given so much cash so when bioware says they are preatty much independent thats all crap if it was like that EA wouldn't have even spend so much money, the fact is that EA now owns bioware. I hope i am wrong but looking at EA's past deals and reputation i highly doubt it.

I don't really know EA's history very well, but they left Crysis to Crytek, which I think is a good start

EA should just focus on marketing their games IMO and let the game devolepers handle the games themselves

Well it was good while it lasted r.i.p bioware. I guess mass effect/dragon age will be the last true bioware rpgs, whatever everyone says they have to admit that almost every studio that ea have bought has gone downhill and in some staff was fired and they hired new staff. A sad day for rpg gamers indeed.

Its not that people want the ps3 to fail, its like sony wants the ps3 almost every choice they have made concerning the ps3 since its release has been bad for the fans. I owned a ps2 like many of the other people here and around the world and ofcourse my first tought was to buy the ps3 when it was announced, but somehow sony with their lack of games and high price range have put off their fans. Noone except the hardcore fanboys (which are not alot) wants sony to fail, they are doing that on their own.

So, no, ME will not get a 10
jcwordlife

I have to agree with you there, mass effect will probably get a 9.0 or a 9.5 but i don't think its possible to get a 10 and i don't know which game if any will get a 10 here on gamespot this gen :D.

When it comes to games, Sony is in trouble. Matter of fact, when it comes to the PS3 as a whole, Sony is in real big trouble period.

It's no secret Sony lost sight of what really mattered, the actual games when it comes to a gaming machine. I saw signs of this towards the end of PS2 days, when Sony would refer to the PS2 as a "computer."

Let's break things down just a quick bit:

1) The PS3 currently holds the lowest install base of any next-gen system

2) The PS3 costs the most to develop games for because of complicated and unorthodox hardware

3) The development cycle for a game on the PS3 is the longest because of limited knowledge from devs about Cell/RSX

4) On the software side of things, not only does the PS3 have the least amount of games, it also has the lowest software sales as well. PS3 owners aren't buying enough games.

5) Almost every game on the PS3 has been delayed at some point or another. Its must-own games such as GTAIV, GT5, Socom, MGS4, God of War 3, DMC4, Silent Hill, Ratchet & Clank, UT3, all have seen delays. What's funny is that other features excluding games are also getting delayed. HOME? ¿Donde esta home?

6) PS3 is constantly losing exclusives left and right to other consoles. What do GTAIV, DMC4, Silent Hill, UT3, Alan Wake, Ace Combat 6, Assassin's Creed, Beautiful Katamari, MONSTER HUNTER 3, and a handful of others titles have in common? Oh yea, that's right, lost exclusivity. What makes it worse is that some these games are also being CANNED altogether on the PS3 and are completely gone.

7) Multiplats are generally worse than the 360, a system that is cheaper to begin with.

8 ) Multiplats also release much later on the PS3 because of difficulty porting the game and budget constraints.

9) While PSN is showing improvement, it cannot hold a light to XBOX LIVE. Looks like PS3 owners have to wait till next year for Home as well.

10) The ridiculous amounts of price changes and new SKU's are sure to confuse the HELL out of consumers. The more I think about it, it seems as if Sony intentionally did this to fool consumers. If I'm having a hard time distinguishing between the 20Gb, 40Gb, 60Gb, and 80Gb iterations, imagine what a soccer mom is going to go through this holiday season? I think people will be buying the 40Gb version thinking it has PS2 BC.

11) Sony's decision to include Blu-Ray in the PS3 as standard is one of the riskest moves they could have ever pulled. Part of the reason why I think the PSP has faultered is the whole UMD issue. Didn't Sony learn from BetaMax, UMD, and MiniDisc? Blu-Ray and HD-DVD aren't catching on because there isn't a big enough difference to justify the added cost. VHS to DVD was truly a revolution, not DVD to Blu-Ray.

12) And most importantly....3rd party developers are abandoning the PS3 left and right. Can someone make a list of new games that have been announced for the PS3 from 3rd party developers in the last 5-6 months that were previously not worked on prior to the release of the PS3? The only games the PS3 has to look forward to are the games that have been in developement prior to the launch of the PS3 and now 3rd party devs are panicing because of how much they've spent so far, fearing about low sales. Capcom has abandoned Sony, Ubiosoft isn't too happy...

So what exactly does Sony have that will appeal to devs? Blu-Ray with its big storage capacity?

Wake up cows. The PS3 has potential but right now it's truly swirling down the drain. I honestly can't see any source of salvation for the PS3. Sorry for the long read, I had to get all my points in.

With that all said, I'm still willing to buy a PS3 if that one damn must-own game ever releases for it. I'm no fanboy, I like games. Right now, PS3 has completely dissapointed in that department.

XD88FDB

In other words Sony SUCKS.

I'm still gonna have to play MGS4 on the PS3

But afterwards I hope they burn in hell.

I agree with you, i will get a ps3 so i can play mgs4 but afterwords well lets just say that sony won't be needed anymore...
