Opinions aside, you dont deny the truth of the point i was making. Hardcore gamers need Casual gamers to survive.

One thing that the ingnorant casual hating hardcores fail to understand is that despite the casuals being the ones responsible for crap franchises like Madden and Halo and GTA selling lke crazy and better games dont, is that it is these very casuals that keep our beloved game industry alive. Gears looks good but because of it the system cant handle 4 player multiscreen. Since this is the 'next gen' I sorta demand high quality graphics like gears minus the gamplay flaws of not being able to handle 4 people at once.

Hardly. You give modern graphics far too much credit - Gears of War looks like plastic toys, it doesn't even compete with CGI movies that are *supposed* to look like cartoons. Even the mighty Crysis only has lifelike *plants* - the ground textures, people, et cetara are obviously not real - even the HD screenshots, I would not mistake for real life. It's only when we have super low resolution photos compared to Crysis that we go "oh yeah, I can kind of see it".

Technology isn't there, in ten years we're going to look back at those graphics in the same way we look back at SNES graphics now.
