formula 1 99 had the safety car, and that game was on the ps1, probablyu one of the best f1 games ever.when the safety car came out then all the cars did the proper warming of their tires and pitted accordingly, it was  really good. i dont understand why they cant put something they made work in a ps1 game into a ps3 game.

i dunno what it is about rear projections, but i have never really liked them all that much.. i think its been put in my head that the image is not that good if you do not look at it directly. When you look at rear projections in stores they are always lower down that your eyeline so they always usually look really faded.

they are also way too big for my room.

so do you think that the HD CRTs are better than HD LCDs for the price (£500, not sure what that is in dollars).

the samsung i saw had component, 2 scarts, and an hdmi. would do me fine cause all i will use on it is a xbox360 and a ps3. they will be the only HD things going into the Tv so i son't know if i can justify buying an expensive LCD when i can get a CTR HDTV which is better and cheaper just to run those 2 machines. will there be that much of a difference between HDMI 1.2 and 1.3? will it be comparable to USb 1.0 and USB 2.0 or not that much of a difference?

i saw a samsung CRT HD Tv the other day. it was quite cheap and was 32". how good do you think a CRT HDTV actually is and is it worth it? i have the space for it cause it wasn't that deep at the back, was heavy mind.

i have a question for Thanos or someone with experience.

how bad really is 800:1 contrast ratio?
i mean, its the lowest i have seen on all HD TVs now.
but the new 1080p TV in britain that you can buy in currys and comet are both only 800:1 contrast ratio, while you can get a 1080i TV with 3000:1 or even 5000:1.
is it really worth getting a 1080p TV with only 800:1 contrast ratio, and how come they can make the 1080i ones with much higher contrast ratios but can't do it with 1080p?

i didnt think there would have been much difference, but when i saw a 1080i and 1080p Tv beside each other, the 1080p is soooo much smoother. when text was on the screen it was perfect, while on the 1080i screen it was quite blocky. but they were 42" and i thibk your right in saying that on smaller ones it is probably less noticable
