I used to play the NES version alot too but it sucked compared to the arcade version. Glad we're getting it. This was mine and IGN's #1 most wanted game. I hope we getting the X-Men arcade game soon too.
Your connection might seem fine. Try restarting your router or cable modem or DSL... whatever you have. I couldn't connect to XBL once and my computer was online so I restarted my router and it worked.
its a sequel... new weapons, new effects, new terrain, new campaign, new multiplayer, new support options... what more do you want?luvbeers
How about improved gameplay, maybe a cover system in multiplayer and a better one in single... Gears and R6 did a better job with theirs. New effects like tree shadows moving in the wind aren't that important. New campaign but it plays the same, new levels but same style... boring. New MP could have been done with DLC along with new weapons. What more do we want, use your imagination... better movement, gameplay and level design. This game is NOT like a sequal... it's a add-on just like GR2: SS was an add-on to GR2 and those games were more fun.
How about making up your own mind and stop letting people decide for you! I just saw a post where a couple people prefered Lost Planet over Gears of War!!! That says it all.
Gears of War is the superior game opinion or not. Some people might like LP better but overall you haven't seen it get one rating higher then Gears and it didn't sell nearly as many copies. That would be your best bet but why don't you rent them both and decide. Personally I think if you have a 360 with online you should have to own Gears of War just like Halo 2 was a must own for the first Xbox!
Who cares if your friend unlocked them for you, does it really bother you? It's not worth making another account just to get achievements yourself. Just play the game.

Ummm, I've played the demo. Is the game gonna totally change from that? It's fine if you like it but you can't sit there with a str8 face and say that this will be nearly as good as the GTA games. Gears of War, Halo, GTA San Andreas, GoldenEye = Something Special... Crackdown = Just another game. It's just the truth. Doesn't mean it's bad but enough with the BS hype.
