Overlord {was bad}
Supreme Commander {felt like a SC mod}
WoW: Burning Crusade {WoW is a cancer to PC gaming}
The Orange Box {great game pack, TF2 and Portal are amazing. I own this for Xbox and PC}
C&C 3 {not very good, compared to the originals}
Silent Hunter IV {submarine game, never played them}
Lord of the Rings Online {this is why WoW is a cancer}
Tabula Rasa {poor integration of FPS into RPG}
Crysis {tried the demo, nothing special beyond graphics. Plays just like FarCry}
Call of Duty 4 {very good gameplay, like BF2 and CSS together, but very small community}
Hellgate London{This game was a big letdown for me, I expected something much better}
GRAW 2 {Never liked GRAW, or any Tom Clancy game}
The Witcher {never bothered to play it}mrbojangles25

I play games with large, competitive communities. Name a PC game that will do that this year or has done that from last year. I can't find one, can you?

By anyone's standards, 2007 was a bleak year for PC game sales when you compare them against console sales. I've been playing on the PC since Starcraft and Diablo II, and I can't find any really good reasons to dish out cash for new hardware anymore. Last summer, since I knew a bunch of great games were coming out for consoles, I bought an Xbox 360. I literally cannot find a reason to switch back to PC gaming right now.

I've tried the Crysis demo, I own the Orange Box and Call of Duty 4 on both PC and Xbox, and I'm really not all that impressed. My computer is no slouch, with 3 GB or RAM, a Core 2 Quad Q6600, and a 7900GS. I can no longer justify paying for an 8800 GT to keep up with the advancements mid-range enthusiast hardware. I played BF2 and CSS at CAL, TWL, and TGL level until late 2006, and the community isn't the same anymore.

Other than Starcraft 2, no PC games have managed to hold my attention so far this year. Are there any FPS titles that I've missed, especially the ones with well developed multiplayer? I'd love to get back into PC gaming, but I just really can't find any incentives at all. So, what does PC gaming have to offer this year? If it's not better than last year's offerings, this will be a downhill trend for just about every game except WoW.

*Now is the time of year when gaming news should be coming out at its fastest, because its after CES and still before E3 (or at least that's how it used to work, E3 has been mostly killed off by its own host company)*

Still. thats pretty good. It beats out the 8800GT and its cheaper. Good deal.Killfox

We've got to wait until release to confirm that. Hopefully this won't be like another 8600GTS launch.

64 bit Vista has more issues and really isn't need for most computer users.roulettethedog

Didn't say I needed it, just want to say I have it. New OEM disk it is.

So I've got Vista 32 bit Home Premium, and 3 GB of RAM. Considering how DDR2 prices are dropping off the face of the earth, I think it might be time for me to jump to 64 bit and grab a full 8 GB just so I can say I have it.

Is there a way to switch to 64 bit without buying another OEM disc a.k.a. I don't want to pay twice for something I just bought.

I've seen Meet the Demoman/Soldier/HeavyWeapons/Engineer, but are there trailers for the Pyro/Scout/Sniper/Spy/Medic?

google is your friend.PWN-Schubie

I don't need to use Google. I only buy nVidia cards from eVGA, so checking any other site's listings is pointless. A graphics card withouta program for upgrading is useless, especially when a new card comes out almost every 4 months.

I'm thinking its false, but there might be those who know otherwise. As far as I know, there aren't any 1 GB 8800 GT models floating around for sale. By the price, it looks like a mis labeled 512 MB.
