Animals can have the same disorders as people.

Reddragon9288

Agreed. Now show me your reference for the classification of homosexuality in animals as a disorder.

If it is a disorder in people, then it would be a disorder in animals. Simple.

And we already know that it is not classified as a disorder in people, so it needs to be shown then that it is a disorder in animals.

It's not classified as a disorder in people under what? Because referring to it as a disorder is politically incorrect?

remove the word politically and replace it with completely.

Until 1973, it was considered a disorder, but better research showed it was not

http://www.apahelpcenter.org/articles/article.php?id=31

Therefore, it's not a disorder

So basicly your saying this is all mental?

If it was mental, a psychiatric problem, it could be fixed by drugs, or therapy, or any other treatment.  Which it can't be.

Our sexualities are not chosen.  Our sexualites are not disorders.  I believe it's genetic.  I believe someone is born gay or straight, or bi.

[QUOTE="pianist"]You're not off the hook yet... not quite. Even though homosexuality disagrees with the necessity of reproduction (a fact that no sane individual will contest), you still have not shown that people exhibiting this particular disorder are unfit to be parents. Do bear in mind that there are plenty of heterosexual parents with a wide variety of physical and mental disorders. We only bar them from having children if the disorders are dangerous. If you can't show that homosexuality is demonstratively dangerous, you don't have a leg to stand on. Silver_Dragon17

I have no proof because I do not know enough of the effects of a child being adopted by homosexuals, other than the unbelievable bullying. I never said homosexuals are dangerous.

However, when two parents are adopting a child, they need to be fit to be parents. If it comes down to a heterosexual couple perfectly fit to parent childre vs. a homosexual couple fit to parent children, then the choice should be obvious for the sake of the child to go with the heterosexual couple.

For the sake of the child, don't even take sexual orientation into thought.  Don't take what may or may not happen into consideration.

Besides, there are plenty of kids to be adopted

[QUOTE="9mmSpliff"]If my child turned homo-sexual. I would still help him out and be there for him. I just wouldnt be happy with his lifestyle choice. But its his life, not mine. I cant make him do what I want and why should/would I? Its his life.

Ask any gay person, they did not choose to be gay they just are.

see I dont get that. Lots arent born gay its a life****choice you make. My old co-worker Sean, married 3yrs then came out of the closest with his wife. Chris, the guy who jumped me, he became gay after he broke up with his gf. 1 of my old buddies, he came out too, but after being with a girl for years. All had women before.

Not all are born to be homo-sexual, its something that you choose and interests you and you like it. So you accept the new life****change. When you are accepting something, you were never born to do it. Cause just accepting things is receiving something. If you were born to be gay then you would be gay your whole life, from the get go.

Yes some people are into the same sex all their lives, but not all people. Yes some are born homo-sexual and like the same sex. Soem make the choice later on, sorry, but that is not born being gay If you liked the same sex since you were born, then yes that is being born gay

Curious. When did you decide to be straight?

i have alwasy been attracted to the oppposite sex. So I was born hetero-sexual. Just like if someone was always liking boys and was a boy, he would be born gay If later on in life say in his 20s like men, after beign with women, that is a choice he made. He wasnt born homo-seuxal

You're completly wrong. Not even CLOSE to being right. They were allways gay allways. Just took longer to admit it then others. No one just turns gay

I disgree, i no a guy who was a hetero, then a homo and hes back to being hetero, being gay isnt that ur born with a different brain, it is natural to some times be attracted to the opposite sex..... in greek times, men having sex was juste some friend having fun....... its only religion that makes it seem like its wrong

Then he was either:

A) Bi

B) A fraud

C) a homosexual who wanted to go back in the closet

why r u so sure that pple are born gay and that they are gay thy're whole life....wats wit all this crap about pple coming out of the closet, maybe they werent in there to start, maybe theywoke up one day and started to be atracted by thy're own sex......

i just find that hard to believe

well belive it or not, its true

maybe in a fairy tale. in reality, peopple are born gay
